OmOmbre

FAQs

Questions people ask first.

How much does it cost?

OmOmbre membership is a $135 monthly subscription. There are no sneaky fees or extra charges — because we don’t like those either — and you can cancel anytime.

How do I pay for the monthly membership?

OmOmbre processes payments through PayPal, which accepts all major credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Why doesn’t OmOmbre accept health insurance?

Because negotiating with insurers is inefficient, and insurance won’t pay for the part of this that matters most — messaging with your provider between visits. Cutting insurance out saves enough time and money to make these modern-day house calls more affordable, which improves access rather than restricting it. Once you count co-pays, travel time and unpredictable denials, many patients find OmOmbre a better deal than using insurance elsewhere. And with a high annual deductible, a whole year here may cost less than the deductible itself.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. After you have received your monthly membership services, the fee may be reimbursed through flexible spending accounts (FSAs), medical savings accounts (MSAs), health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) and health savings accounts (HSAs). On request your provider will give you a statement of services to submit to your administrator. Please note the fee cannot be paid directly with an FSA debit card.

How quickly can I be seen?

Same-day or next-day video appointments are available. Appointments run Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm PST.

Can I reach my provider between visits?

Yes — that’s a core part of membership. You can message your provider between appointments rather than waiting for the next one.

How often should I talk to my provider?

Plan on at least one telemedicine visit a month. You’re not limited to one — you can book additional visits, and message your provider in between.

Is my OmOmbre provider also a therapist?

Your provider wants to really get to know you, encourage lifestyle changes and offer some insight-oriented therapy. But our expertise leans towards diagnosis and prescribing, so we often recommend patients also establish care with a psychologist or therapist trained to meet additional therapy needs.

What pharmacy does OmOmbre use?

Whichever one you prefer. Pick up in person at your neighbourhood pharmacy, or choose one that mail-orders to your home. Your pharmacy processes payment through your insurance, and your provider will complete prior authorisations where needed to get your medication covered.

Where are lab tests done?

Depending on the test, it is either mailed to your home or ordered to your local lab.

What happens if my provider is away?

Your provider arranges coverage and you will receive contact details for the covering provider as needed. Many providers also respond to messages while away.

Who do you treat?

Children, adolescents and adults, across depression, anxiety, ADHD and attention disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, insomnia and anger.
